The watch is called Civis

Until this week, the first watch was called Civis Solum on the site. The dial, however, only says Civis. Two names for the same piece was one too many.

Solum meant "the ground", the base. As a surname it had its logic, but it confused more than it added, so we have retired it: the watch is the Vindex Civis, as it reads on the metal.

Old links keep working: the old page redirects to the new one. And the references do not change, because they already said the right thing: VC for Vindex Civis, 2639 or 2636 depending on the size.
